PhaseCube is an air-guided PCM storage developed by Rubitherm Technologies GmbH. It is based on the CSM plate, also developed by Rubitherm.

The PhaseCube is offered in different sizes and with temperature levels, adapted to the specific requirements of your system.

The figure above shows the inlet (red) and outlet temperature (blue) within one day. At the beginning cold air is sucked in at night and passed through the storage tank. The CSM plates cool down, the PCM solidifies and gives off the heat from the previous day, which can be seen from the blue curve until 12:00 noon. The PCM releases heat from the previous day, so the outlet temperature is higher than the inlet temperature. Around noon, fresh but warm air is drawn in from outside. The air is passed over the CSM plates and the PCM begins to melt. It absorbs heat from the air and cools it down. The inlet temperature is significantly higher than the outlet temperature. In this case, the air is cooled from more than 30°C to about 23°C between 12 a.m. and 4 p.m. At night, the cycle starts anew and the PCM is ready for the next day.
